Heartbeat Listen

Put your ear on someone's chest and count the heartbeats — then jump and listen again.

Category: Math & Science · Duration: ~5 min

1. Have your little one put their ear on your chest. "Can you hear that? Boom boom boom." 2. Count together: "One, two, three..." for ten seconds. 3. Now everyone jumps up and down for 30 seconds. 4. Listen again. "It's faster! Why do you think?" 5. "Your heart pumps blood around your body. When you move a lot, it has to work harder and go faster."
