Stair Steps

Practice walking down stairs one step at a time — hold the railing, feet together on each step.

1. Find a staircase with a railing. Stand at the top together. 2. "One hand on the railing. Step down with one foot, bring the other foot to meet it." 3. Go one step at a time. No rushing. 4. Stay one step below them so you can catch if needed. 5. Practice going up too — up is easier but still needs practice. Alternate feet if they're ready.
