Snip and Stick
Your child cuts or tears pictures from old magazines and glues them into a wild collage.
Category: Creativity · Duration: ~10 min
Materials
- old magazines or junk mail
- glue stick
- paper
- child-safe scissors
1. Spread out old magazines, catalogs, or junk mail. Give your little one child-safe scissors or let them tear. 2. "Find pictures of things you love!" Animals, food, colors, faces — anything goes. 3. Once they have a pile of cutouts, give them a piece of paper and a glue stick. 4. They arrange and glue however they want. Overlapping, upside-down, all in one corner — their call. 5. When it's done, ask, "Tell me about your collage!" and listen. Hang it up somewhere visible.
