Opposites Walk

Go for a walk and spot opposites everywhere — tall trees and short flowers, big trucks and small cars.

Category: Literacy · Duration: ~8 min

1. Head outside for a walk. "Today we're opposite detectives." 2. Point things out in pairs: "That tree is tall. That bush is short. Tall and short are opposites." 3. Ask your little one to find the next pair. Give hints if needed: "Can you find something heavy and something light?" 4. Keep a running count — how many opposite pairs can you spot? 5. Try: bright/dark, rough/smooth, old/new, near/far, full/empty.
