Toast Master

Make a piece of toast together and talk about what heat does to bread.

1. Show your little one a slice of bread. Ask "What color is it? How does it feel?" 2. Put it in the toaster together — let them push the lever down. 3. While waiting, ask "What do you think will happen?" Talk about how heat makes the bread crispy and brown. 4. When it pops, let it cool a moment. Touch it together — "It changed! It's warm and crunchy now." 5. Spread butter or jam together and enjoy your creation.
