Find green things in nature and learn why plants are that special color.
Category: Math & Science · Duration: ~10 min
1. Go outside and look around. How many green things can your little one spot? 2. Leaves, grass, stems, moss — why is so much of nature green? 3. Explain simply: plants have tiny green helpers inside their leaves. Those helpers eat sunlight and turn it into food for the plant. 4. Pick a leaf and hold it up to the sun. See how the light comes through? The green helpers are hard at work. 5. Ask: what would happen if a plant couldn't get sunlight? It would get pale and weak, just like us without food.
