Practice sitting at a table and doing a simple worksheet or coloring page together.

1. Set up a homework station: clear table, good light, pencils ready. 2. Give your little one a simple task: trace some letters, color a picture, or connect some dots. 3. Sit with them and do your own "homework" (read, write a list, etc.). 4. When they finish, say: "Great job sticking with it! That's what homework is like at school." 5. Keep it to 5-10 minutes max — building the habit of sitting and working is the goal.
