Ice and Snow

• ice cubes
• bowl

1. Put a few ice cubes in a bowl and let your little one hold one. 2. Ask: what does it feel like? Cold! Slippery! Wet! 3. Leave one on a plate and check on it every few minutes. Where did it go? It turned into water! 4. Talk about how water freezes when it's very cold and melts when it warms up. 5. If it's snowy outside, bring some snow in a cup and watch it melt too.
