Rain Catcher

Put a cup outside before it rains and check how much water it caught afterward.

Materials

• cup or bowl

1. When rain is coming, set a cup outside together. 2. Check on it later or the next day: "How much water did the rain put in our cup?" 3. Mark the water level with a marker on the outside of the cup. 4. Talk about where rain comes from: clouds carry water, and when they get too heavy, the water falls. 5. Try it again next time and compare: "Did we get more or less than last time?"
