1. Start gently: "Sometimes people have big moments — happy ones like weddings and sad ones like funerals." 2. "A wedding is when two people promise to love each other forever. We go to celebrate with them." 3. "A funeral is when we say goodbye to someone who died. We go because we loved them." 4. Ask: "Have you ever been to a wedding or seen one in a movie?" Talk about what happens. 5. Remind them: "We go to these things to show people we care. That's what family and friends do."
