Sniff Test

Smell milk, bread, and fruit to learn how our nose tells us when food has gone bad.

Category: World Knowledge · Duration: ~5 min

1. Grab something fresh from the fridge — milk, lunch meat, or cheese. 2. Let your little one smell it. "Does this smell good or bad?" 3. Explain that our noses are like food detectives — if something smells funny or sour, it might make our tummy hurt. 4. Show them an expiration date on a package. "This number tells us when the store thinks we should eat it by." 5. Remind them: if food looks weird, smells bad, or has fuzzy green spots — tell a grown-up!
