Word Collector
Your child picks a topic they love — trucks, animals, food — and learns three brand new words about it.
Category: Literacy · Duration: ~8 min
1. Ask your little one, "What's something you LOVE?" Dinosaurs? Cooking? Space? 2. Teach them three words they probably don't know yet. For dinosaurs: "herbivore" (plant eater), "fossil" (old bones in rock), "hatch" (come out of an egg). 3. Use each word in a sentence together. "The dinosaur was a herbivore. What do you think it ate?" 4. Quiz them gently: "Remember, what's it called when a baby dino comes out of an egg?" Hints are fine. 5. Use the new words throughout the day. "Your snack is very herbivore — all plants!"
