Name five different jobs and talk about how each one helps our community.

1. Ask: "Who are the people that help us every day?" 2. Talk about five: doctors (keep us healthy), teachers (help us learn), firefighters (keep us safe), farmers (grow our food), mail carriers (bring our letters). 3. For each one, ask: "What would happen if there were no ___?" Let them think about it. 4. Ask: "Which job sounds coolest to you? Why?" 5. "Every job helps! That's why we say thank you to helpers."
