Rainbow Hunt

After rain (or with a garden hose in sun), find a rainbow and name all the colors.

1. After rain when the sun comes out, look for a rainbow together. 2. If there isn't one, spray a garden hose toward the sun to make your own mini rainbow. 3. Name the colors together: "Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple!" 4. Explain: "Sunlight is actually all the colors mixed together. Water drops split it apart so we can see them." 5. Draw a rainbow later from memory — can they remember the order?
