Water Brave

In a shallow pool or tub, practice putting your face near the water and blowing bubbles.

Materials

1. Start in shallow water — a kiddie pool, bathtub, or even a big basin. 2. "Can you put your chin in the water?" Then mouth. Then nose. Never push — just encourage. 3. "Now blow bubbles! Put your mouth in and blow." 4. Practice putting their whole face in for one second. Count: "One!" Then up. 5. Comfort is the goal, not speed. Some kids take weeks. That's perfectly fine.
