Furniture Names

Walk through one room and point to every piece of furniture — name it and say what it's for.

1. Pick one room. Stand in the doorway together. 2. Point to each piece of furniture: couch, table, chair, shelf, lamp. 3. For each one ask: "What do we use this for?" Let them answer. 4. Try a silly one: "What if we ate dinner on the couch? What if we sat on the table?" Let them laugh and correct you. 5. Count how many pieces of furniture are in the room.
