Safe Falls

Practice falling onto soft ground by tucking your chin and landing on your bum, not your hands.

Materials

1. Put a pillow or soft blanket on the ground. 2. Show them: "When we fall, we tuck our chin to our chest like a turtle pulling into its shell." 3. Practice falling sideways onto the pillow. Tuck the chin, bend the knees, land on the side. 4. Try falling backward too: sit down, then roll onto back. 5. The key rule: "Don't catch yourself with straight arms — that hurts your wrists. Bend and roll."
