Seed Starters

Plant a seed in a cup and watch it sprout over the next few days.

Materials

• cup
• soil
• seeds
• water

1. Fill a cup most of the way with soil. Let your little one scoop it in. 2. Poke a small hole with a finger and drop in one or two seeds (bean seeds work great). 3. Cover the seeds gently with soil and add a little water. 4. Put it on a sunny windowsill and mark today's date. 5. Check it together every morning — talk about what the seed needs to grow.
