1. Face each other. "Let's practice meeting someone new." 2. Model it: smile, make eye contact, and say "Hi! I'm [your name]. Nice to meet you!" Wave or offer a handshake. 3. Now it's their turn. Pretend you're meeting them for the first time. 4. Practice three times. Try it with a stuffed animal audience. 5. Talk about when we greet people: when we arrive somewhere, when someone new comes over, at the start of a playdate.
