1. Grab a fridge magnet and head around the house. 2. Ask your little one to guess before each test: will it stick or not? 3. Try: the fridge (yes!), a wooden table (no), a spoon (maybe!), a paper clip (yes!), a plastic cup (no). 4. Talk about the pattern: magnets love metal, but not all metal. They especially like iron and steel. 5. Let your little one carry the magnet and test anything they're curious about.
