Recycle Sorter

Sort household items into recycling, compost, and trash piles.

1. Gather some clean items: a cardboard box, a plastic bottle, a banana peel, a napkin. 2. Set up three spots: recycling, compost (food scraps), and trash. 3. Hold up each item and ask your little one: where does this go? 4. Give hints: cardboard and plastic can be recycled. Food scraps can become dirt. Dirty napkins go in trash. 5. Make it a habit — let them help sort after meals.
