Shape Builder

Use toothpicks and marshmallows (or playdough) to build 3D shapes.

Materials

• toothpicks
• marshmallows or playdough

1. Show your little one how to stick a toothpick into a marshmallow to connect them. 2. Start with a triangle — three toothpicks, three marshmallows. 3. Build a square next. Then try a cube if they're up for it. 4. Let them build whatever they want. Towers, bridges, funny shapes — all good. 5. Count the sides and corners together.
