Blanket Base
Your child builds a fort from blankets, pillows, and chairs — then hangs out inside with a book or snack.

1. Grab blankets, pillows, and a couple of chairs. Ask your little one, "Where should our fort go?" 2. Drape blankets over chairs to make a roof. Let them help — even if it collapses twice, that's part of it. 3. Fill the inside with pillows and a cozy blanket to sit on. 4. Bring something inside: a book, a flashlight, a small snack. Make it feel like a special hideout. 5. Hang out together inside for a few minutes. Ask, "What should we call our fort?" Give it a name and a story.
