Sun and Moon

Go outside and find the moon (even during the day!) — talk about how it changes shape each night.

Category: Math & Science · Duration: ~5 min

1. On a clear day or evening, look up together. Can you find the moon? 2. "Sometimes we can see the moon during the day! It doesn't just come out at night." 3. Describe its shape today: "Is it a full circle? A half? A skinny banana shape?" 4. "The moon goes in a circle around us, and the sun lights up different parts — that's why it changes shape." 5. Check again in a few days and compare.
