Zipper Master

Practice zipping and unzipping a jacket all by yourself from bottom to top.

Materials

• jacket or hoodie with zipper

1. Lay a jacket flat on a table. Show the two parts of the zipper at the bottom. 2. Demonstrate: line up the pin in the box at the bottom. "This is the tricky part." 3. Hold the bottom with one hand, pull the tab up with the other. 4. Now let your little one try. The lining-up part takes practice — be patient. 5. Once it's zipped, unzip it slowly. "Down is easy. Up takes practice. You're getting it!"
