Electricity Intro

Find things in your house that use electricity and talk about how it works.

1. Walk around the house and point to things that use electricity: lights, fridge, TV, microwave. 2. Ask your little one each time: does this use electricity? Yes or no? 3. Explain simply: electricity is like invisible energy that flows through wires in the walls. It makes things light up, get cold, or play music. 4. Talk about the safety rule: never put fingers or anything into an outlet. Electricity is helpful but very strong. 5. Flip a light switch together. See? You just told the electricity to go!
