• TV remote

1. Hold the remote together. Point to the power button. "This is the one button you need to know." 2. Let them press it to turn the TV on. Then press it again to turn it off. 3. Show the volume buttons too — up makes it louder, down makes it quieter. 4. Make a game: "Can you turn it on, count to three, and turn it off?" 5. Talk about the rule: always ask before turning it on.
