Fly a kite on a windy day — or make a simple one from a plastic bag and string.

Materials

• kite or plastic bag and string

1. Check for wind — trees swaying is a good sign. 2. If you have a kite, great. If not, tie a string to a plastic bag — it'll catch wind. 3. Hold the kite up while your little one runs with the string. 4. When it catches wind: "Let out more string! Look how high it's going!" 5. It'll crash repeatedly. That's the game. Relaunch and try again.
